Mandrill-Tortoise. A creature with the mobility (and temper) of a baboon but with the armor of a tortoise.
Tortoise-Monkey. A turtle with the lifestyle and body shape of a ground-dwelling monkey. It's more active than your typical turtle, and has developed a slightly opposable thumb claw.
Mandrill-Snapping Turtle. This creature's skull is a combination of an Alligator Snapping Turtle and a Mandrill. It's at least twice as ferocious as either of those animals alone.
Gorilla-Tortoise. A silverback gorilla that has traded its ape hands for powerfully armored tortoise arms. It's signature slam attack is 4 times more powerful.
Chimpanzee- Tortoise. A chimp with the body shape of a tortoise. It has inherited the tortoise walk and long neck. It mostly plods along on all fours but can stand on two legs briefly to survey its surroundings
